Hello all!

Thanks for stopping by the Beta Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Pi’s website. My name is Gretchen Smith and I am President of Delta Sigma Pi at UT Austin for the 2011-2012 school year. I hope you have all had a safe and restful winter break and are in full gear to begin yet another successful semester at The University of Texas!

What starts here changes the world. The Brothers who have graduated from Delta Sigma Pi have certainly upheld this by working in positions all over the world, starting their own businesses, and creating the vast network years after graduation they still use. In Delta Sigma Pi, I can personally attest to have grown both personally and professionally through my four years in the Fraternity. Our brotherhood teaches individuals a variety of skills such as critical thinking, analytic ability, time management, and much more. Moreover, we prepare our brothers to become strong leaders in an often volatile economy. Most importantly of all, however, we do it while having a blast! Through all the professionalism that our Fraternity imparts, we emphasize that we work hard and play hard!

At UT I have been involved in everything from volunteer organizations, to a Panhellinic social sorority, to serving as an RA in the residence halls on campus. No experience has lived up to what I have experienced as a Deltasig though. I found lifelong relationships here in Delta Sigma Pi. I have grown professionally and personally in ways I never would have been able to learn through a classroom. We here in DSP pride ourselves in the family we form together. As one of the most diverse, successful, and social organizations in the business school, Delta Sigma Pi is a sure bet to a great experience.

I encourage you to come and check us out during our rush at the beginning of this semester to see if we’re the right fit for you. Regardless of what path you take, I encourage you to get involved within the University as it will be a profitable investment to your college career.
